Central Montana Christian Church
Leaders: Andy and Josi Brunkhart
We meet at the LaQuinta hotel in Great Falls located at 600 River Drive S.
We currently have 10 disciples along with much loved visitors frequently. The LaQuinta has furnished us a great conference room that has beautiful scenery to the outdoors and the Missouri River.
Our times of meeting are as follows:
Sunday 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday 7:00 p.m. is a separate event in our homes.
Our Kids Kingdom program is currently meeting on Wednesdays (unless otherwise noted) in conjunction with the adult midweeks. The kids being fed spiritually in our homes gives them the maximum space and time needed to learn about God and see each other more often. The Men and Women switch off every week so, while one week men are teaching kids the women are having a mid-week devotional and vice-versa. The feedback from the kids has been very good. If you would like more info please contact the email addresses below.
We also had a baptism in June. Her name is Jennifer Peres. She has family in Great Falls as well as Missoula. She is an incredible woman who is sold out for God. If any Disciples would like to contact her please use my email address(tom_diane address) and then I will forward that information to her.
We are starting something new, so that people who are intersted in who we have in Great Falls can get to know us better. The first person we want everyone to know about is Irene Brown.
Irene was born in Missoula, MT in 1930 and was married to Jim in 1955. She is the mother of three and grandmother of six. In Great Falls, she taught for 4 years and then stopped to raise a family. In 1983, she became a Christian in Great Falls because of the challenge from her son Jim to actually read the Bible and "do what it says". He kept asking her question and showing her answers until she finnally acknowledged her need to be baptized and live the life of a disciple. To stay faithful, her son(son Jim) also kept urging her to attend seminars in the larger cities. (Chicago, Boston, Minneapolis and New York), where there were growing congregations and where she could meet and stay with the sisters ( all of whom were younger by far!) and learn what it meant to be a part of "the movement of God". They were wonderful for her, and she was able to meet and hear many of the evangelists we read about today who lead the body of Christ around the world.
Until the '90s, there were no other disciples in Great Falls, and she relied on calls and tapes from DPI and the encouragement from sister she met at seminars.
At the time the Greens lead a church planting in Missoula, there were four disciples in Great Falls lead by Tom and Diane Lowery. We drove to Missoula every weekend weather permitting and then eventually once a month after we started a house church in Great Falls. This was an especially wonderful time to get to know eachother better during the 3+ hour trip each way. She would sing to my son to calm him. Later with more disciples in Great Falls she has shown special interest in the children by taking them out individually. Some of the sayings Irene would repeat time and time again make us all appreciate her so much. These would include- "I'm plum peacible", or "thats a red herring" and "madder than a wet hen" among many more. We all love Irene so much. She is always supportive of activities and hosts many meetiting and parties in her beautiful home. She is a role model for being the servant and submissive wife. She takes a genuine interest in who you are and makes you feel loved so quickly with just a smile and a hug. Her knowledge and wisdom is cherished highly by all who know her and understand that she just wants to help in any way. We are all trully blessed to have Irene in our lives. Irene states that she is the oldest one here (or Missoula)- yet she learns from us constantly and is amazed at what God has given all of us in the way of love, encouragement and maturity.
God is truly amazing how he freely gives us gifts to be grateful for. We in Great Falls know that one of Gods special gifts to us is having Irene Brown in our lives.
